David Gallagher, known for his role as Simon Camden in the hit WB show “7th Heaven,” shocked fans Saturday after debuting a bald head and beard while attending the cast reunion at the highly anticipated 90’s Con.
Several fans attending the convention were shocked to see the primetime family TV cutie, known for his long blonde locks, looking startlingly different with a clean-shaven head and wooly beard.
Gallagher, 39, attended the reunion alongside Barry Watson (Matt Camden), Mackenzie Rosman (Ruthie Camden), Beverly Mitchell (Rev. Lucy Kinkirk), and Catherine Hicks (Annie Camden), the US Sun reports.
Notably absent from the Connecticut-based convention was Stephen Collins, who played the Camden family patriarch Rev. Eric Camden, and later admitted to molesting or exposing himself to three girls in October 2014.
Other absent cast members included Jessica Biel, 42, who was busy supporting hubby Justin Timberlake, 43, during the launch of his new album “Everything I Thought It Was.”
Nikolas Brino, 25, who starred as the youngest Camden sibling, Sam, alongside his late twin brother, Lorenzo Brino, was also not in attendance.
Speaking with the outlet, Gallagher — who isn’t very active on social media — said that he spends the majority of his time taking care of his family.
“I’m a stay-at-home dad,” he said. “I spend most of my time with my six-year-old girl.”
According to Gallagher, he prefers to live a private life rather than post on social media.
“But, I’ve enjoyed coming here and kind of interacting again and seeing everybody and seeing how excited everyone is is nice. It’s very flattering,” he told the outlet.
When asked where his character, Simon, would have ended up, Gallagher joked that he could see him “like a Silicon Valley guy in a hoodie.”
Despite starring in a majority of the series’ run from 1996 to 2007, the actor had dropped out of the storyline by the show’s 11th season.
In a post on Friday, Mitchell, 43, revealed that she and the “Smallville” alum somehow ended up on the same flight but missed their connection to Hartford.
According to the video, Mitchell joked that Gallagher tried to persuade her to drive the rest of the way with him.
“We didn’t quite make it. We made it to Washington, [D.C.],” Mitchell told her fans in the video“We are needing to go to Connecticut and we had two options: to spend the night and get on an early flight or…”
“Roadtrip,” Gallagher quipped. “I tried. I tried to get her to do a road trip, everybody.”
“It’s a seven-and-a-half-hour drive. I don’t think he’s ready for the backseat driver in me,” retorted Mitchell laughing. “But eventually, hopefully, we’ll make it at some point to Connecticut.
“We have five hours before our early flight. So, stay tuned for the adventures of Bev and David! ‘Cause it’s quite, quite an adventure so far, guys.”
In a separate Instagram post from Mitchel, the full cast can be seen hanging around and looking excited as they come together after being apart for so long.
“Beyond grateful for these crazy humans that I call family!” Mitchell wrote in the caption. “To say that this was needed was an understatement. My heart is full, and I have been so blessed to love and laugh with them,” the caption read.
“We even FaceTimed @jessicabiel There is a whole lotta love in this group,” the caption continued.
